The University of Michigan is currently inviting applications for a 6-month Post-Graduate Athletic Training Fellowship with an immediate start date, which can be renewed for another term. Additionally, we are also accepting applications for six to seven 12-month Post-Graduate Athletic Training Fellowship positions, starting in June 2024. This fellowship program aims to prepare athletic trainers for advanced clinical practice by utilizing an interdisciplinary model and evidence-based practice concepts. The program also focuses on improving the quality of healthcare for student-athletes, optimizing their outcomes, and promoting their health, welfare, and lifetime wellness.
The University of Michigan Athletic Training Fellowship provides an excellent opportunity for licensed athletic training practitioners to advance their clinical practice skills and become future leaders in the field of sports medicine. The program offers clinical education opportunities, free CEU's, dedicated sport assignments, which expose fellows to multidisciplinary settings of clinical practice, interprofessional education (IPE), and research. The program also focuses on the administrative and interpersonal growth and development of the fellows through a micromentorship program.
