Position Summary
Oversee the coordination of the Athletic Department’s student-athlete academics that adheres to all University, Horizon League, and NCAA rules and regulations while providing a safe and accepting environment for coaches, staff and student-athletes to grow and develop academically, athletically and encourages personal responsibility, sportsmanship and service to others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(1) Monitoring and document academic progress of men’s basketball student-athletes

(2) Maintain and compile grade updates
Â
(3) Supervise study table and maintain management of all tutoring sessions
Â
(4) Work one-on-one with at-risk student-athletes on issues such as time management, organization, and study skills
Â
(5) Enforce policies and reprimand student-athletes when required
Â
(6) Work and communicate with University professors of student-athletes
Â
(7) Act as liaison to the Student Success Program for the athletic teams
Â
(8) Provide weekly updates to the Director of Athletics, Men’s Basketball coaches, and Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services
(9) Communicate any special needs of student-athletes to the Director of Athletics, Men’s Basketball coaches, and Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services

(10) Keep weekly logs of study time and study table hours for players

(11) Assist with daily compliance and student-athlete welfare duties
Â
(12) Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred.Â
Experience: Six months to two years

Physical Requirements
Job requires repetitively lifting light weight objects where frequent bending or stooping alternates with lighter activities.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.
Licenses/Certifications
Drivers license required.
Salary/Pay Information
Commensurate with experience
Anticipated Schedule Â
Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with nights and weekends as necessary
