Marywood University, a Division III member of the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) is currently seeking candidates for Graduate Assistant in Athletics and Recreation for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Athletics Graduate Assistant will assist in achieving Marywood University's strategic initiative to grow recruitment and retention within the Athletics and Recreation Department and greater Marywood University community via intramurals and recreation programming, community and student experience (fan experience), fundraising for teams and department, and assistance with community service projects and admissions events (open houses). Sample of position responsibilities: -Complete coursework toward your Master's degree while getting hands on job experience -Assist Intramurals and Recreation Coordinator in creating programming; coordinate with Student Engagement Office/Director on game/fan experience. -Work directly with the Director of Athletics and Pacers Club to increase fundraising avenues for the Department and teams through the annual Golf Tournament. Assist in coordinating team fundraising activities. -Assist in community service through coordination of team and Department service projects. -Participate in monthly Athletic Department and building staff meetings -Act as game manager for various athletic events -Assist with Admissions events and open houses. Serve as liaison/point of contact for the Department in coordinating participation from coaches in said events. -Work directly with other departments such as Marketing, Admissions, Student Engagement, Advancement, Campus Ministry and others. Position Requirements: -Must apply and be accepted into one Marywood University's Master's Degree programs -Knowledge of collegiate athletics or sports management background preferred -Must have availability to work nights and weekends -Communication, organizational, and time management skills -Proficiency in Gmail, Google Suite, Microsoft Office/Excel, Zoom/Google Meet -Have a valid driver's license
