Job Summary: The Building Services Specialist performs a wide variety of manual and technical duties to include loading and unloading equipment, supplies and trash; cleaning (indoors and outdoors); setting up and taking down of equipment for events; operating various equipment; and performing errands or messenger duties under close supervision.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to work under pressure of short turnaround times. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to perform those items in the Job Summary and the essential functions. Must have the ability to use job-related tools and equipment and chemical supplies. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates who are not current University of Alabama employees must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Must meet regular attendance requirements, must work overtime as scheduled, must accomplish the essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner.
