Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, Athletics, the Athletics Development Operations Coordinator will serve a critical role on an energetic, highly-professional, fast-paced fundraising team. The position will serve a variety of roles, including: coordinating the day-to-day operations of the team’s gift processing and gift transmittal functions; serving as liaison with the Athletic Business Office on the development operational budget; providing administrative support for the Executive Director / Director of Donor Relations and Special Events and general office support for the team; serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues; performing a variety of administrative, fiscal, staff support, data reporting/management and planning activities. This position requires self-motivation, independent judgment, tact, and diplomacy, and must be able to work easily and effectively with coaches, staff, external constituencies and administrators, while displaying excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $27.94 - $31.42 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $27.34 - $39.18 (Hourly Rate).

Required:

• 2-3 years working with office administrative management Experience working with the Paciolan system a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent diplomacy and interpersonal skills. The ability to take initiative with projects and to communicate effectively with diverse, high-level groups of individuals in a customer-service and professional manner.
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Desktop Publishing software, and computerized management information systems.
• Ability to coordinate data collection from a variety of areas and integrate into meaningful reports.
• Resourcefulness in finding appropriate solutions to problems and initiative in presenting alternatives and implementing solutions to ensure effective change.
• Ability to anticipate problems and take necessary action to eliminate or mitigate potential negative effects.
• Ability to prioritize projects and solve problems in a strategic manner. Ability to balance, plan and work on multiple projects at a given time.
• Maintains professionalism, tact, and confidentiality as needed in all correspondence, written and verbal with UC Irvine personnel and community constituents.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as serve as member of a team and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of UCI and University Advancement programs, policies and procedures OR knowledge of university advancement programs in a higher education setting, including Kuali Financial System (KFS) and Salesforce.
  

Special Conditions Required:

• May be required to drive on occasion in order to perform the routine or essential job responsibilities for the position.
• Must possess a valid California driver license and participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends throughout the varsity sport seasons.
