Essential Job Functions
Manages campus athletic facilities including internal and external event scheduling, staffing, preparation, execution and post-event assessment
Conducts regular inspections of athletics facilities, refers all maintenance issues, makes recommendations on facilities repairs and upgrades
Oversees operations at home intercollegiate contests, at both on-campus and off-campus locations
Assists in Sports Information functions at intercollegiate athletics contests including making public announcements, webcasting, operating the scoreboard and travels to off campus games, as needed
Manages the acquisition of athletic equipment, uniforms and apparel for intercollegiate, intramural and recreational athletic programming

Manages the acquisition of athletic equipment, uniforms and apparel for intercollegiate, intramural and recreational athletic programming
Works with the university's procurement team to research and secure best pricing for athletic acquisitions
Oversees the daily operations of the athletic equipment room, including keeping an electronic inventory, and cleaning and maintaining all athletic and recreation equipment to the highest standard for safety
Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Experience working in athletic facility operations, equipment management or other related experience
Valid U.S. driver’s license
First Aid, CPR, AED certification, or willingness to attain such certification(s) upon hire
Please note : Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
