JOB SUMMARY
Marymount University welcomes applications for the position of Facility and Equipment Manager. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletic Communications. The Facility and Equipment Manager is a full-time exempt position with the responsibilities of contributing to the ongoing management of the athletic facility, recreational activities and oversight of the equipment room operations. Adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA Division III policies and procedures is required. Prior experience in athletics facilities, equipment, and operations at the collegiate level preferred. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ATHLETICS AND RECREATION FACILITY OPERATIONS (60%)
Manages the facility schedule for the Rose Bente Lee Athletics Center and the Converse Family athletics field. Scheduling includes varsity athletic practices, competitions and athletics events, as well as other University events.
Hire and supervise students to staff the Rose Bente Lee Center and facility setup needs
Schedule and staff the setup and breakdown of all Converse Family athletic complex events
Provides assistance with recreational/ intramural activities, ordering and inventory of recreation equipment
Regular grooming of the turf field and supporting coaches with off-campus facility needs.
Attend University Facility & Events committee weekly meetings
Coordinates and schedules with physical plant and custodial services for facility repairs and needs
Assists with event coverage
EQUIPMENT ROOM OPERATIONS (40%)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Must have strong communications skills including ability to communicate by telephone/e-mail/text. Ability to be highly organized and multi-task. The ideal candidate will have experience with facility management and/ or as an equipment manager.
Licenses or Certifications
CPR/ First-Aid Certified. OSHA certified (training provided upon hire)

Supervision
The Facility and Equipment Manager will supervise the Lee Center student employee staff for the entry desk and laundry/equipment services.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to lift more than 50 pound and the ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
