The Athletics Marketing Intern will support marketing efforts for 24 Division I athletic teams at Villanova University.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

• Oversee, plan and implement select fall, winter and spring sport marketing plans
• Schedule game day elements that include but are not limited to anthem performers, halftime and time out performers, and color guard
• Assist with game day operational responsibilities at all football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and other assigned games
• Create and facilitate a digital marketing plan including development of email databases and social media graphics
• Oversee and schedule the game day student volunteer program
• Support student attendance and The Nation student fan group
• Other administrative tasks as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing
• All duties and responsibilities must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Nonessential Job Functions

• Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree.

Work Skills:

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Team-oriented and must be willing to work irregular hours.

Other:

• Willingness to learn.
• Passion for sports marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work Experience

• Sports marketing experience at either the professional or collegiate level.

Work Skills

• Experience using Adobe Photoshop.
• Social Media Management.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

• Candidate must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and evening hours.
