We are currently seeking a full-time and onsite Athletics Operations & Facilities Coordinator in our Athletics department. This position serve as a liaison for all new facility projects including upgrades, and renovations.
Manage intercollegiate events, with emphasis on customer experience, logistics, scheduling, supervision/training of support staff, game management, and event setup/breakdown.
Oversight of budget and purchasing as it relates to Event Operations.
Manage capital improvements, maintenance, and athletics projects.
Oversee the technological needs of the facilities including operation and maintenance of scoreboards, shot clocks, and videoboards.
Work closely with coaches and staff to schedule practices and communicate changes.
Responsible for all Athletics scheduling related to facility use.
Oversee in identifying and documenting a preventative maintenance program of scheduled inspection and repair of electrical, mechanical, and other systems, equipment and facilities to ensure proper operation and to correct malfunctions before major breakdowns develop.
Serve as a department’s liaison for short- and long-term projects.
Participate in continuing education opportunities.
Prepare settlements of events by providing information and determining fiscal accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university.
At least 1 year experience in athletic event and facility operations.
General knowledge of League and NCAA policies and regulations as they pertain to athletics operations, event management, and activities.
Working knowledge and experience with athletics events and/or facility operation experience.
Possess time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to read, understand, perform, and enforce all policies, specifications, and procedures in accordance with state, federal, local, university, and department established guidelines.
Skilled in verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills.
Self-directed, innovative and a strong problem solver in setting priorities and meeting goals.
Ability to work scheduled hours including nights and weekends as needed to satisfy athletic facility needs for athletic contests and special/home events.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master’s degree.
