| Job Summary / Basic Function |
General Roadman Park Maintenance
Trains all employees on the operation of all equipment
Works with Director of Athletic Operations to implement and coordinate annual fertilization, weed control, seeding, and top-dressing program for all athletic areas.
Trains, schedules, oversees, and evaluates graduate assistants and work study students assigned.
Maintenance of Wooden Split Rail Fence
Weed eat and spray when needed.
-Grass cutting as needed (i.e., before games or camps, before painting lines).
Small tree/bush removal.
Operations of Kubota Tractor to include use of the front-loading bucket and forklift.
Move port-a-toilets into place with the tractor and collect for service for various events.
Move portable bleachers with the tractor to areas needed.
Winterize facilities.
Storing of equipment
Working with facilities to turn off water and electricity to areas.
Clean and organize storage buildings and Adamson Stadium storage areas.
Maintain Kubota tractor, John Deere Gator, Softball dragging machine, and baseball tractor.
Gas and oil changes
Battery replacements
Tire replacements
Cleaning
Set up, tear down, and storage of road barricades that are used for various events.
Maintain track throwing areas to include.
Rolling of fields to reduce damage from implements.
Maintain gravel in the shotput area.
Maintain and clean the javelin runway.
Maintain the safety netting at all locations.
Other related duties as assigned by Athletic Director and Director of Athletic Operations.
Baseball and Softball Maintenance
Groom infield and warning track using the grooming machine and tractor.
Replace material as needed.
Roll outfield using Gator and rollers to eliminate divots and bumps.
Paint and chalk lines for games.
Maintain fence and fence caps.
Rake bullpen and batting cages.
Water fields using the sprinkler system.
Hang and store American Flag for games.
Assist in pulling the tarps on and off.
Maintain the batting cages nets.
Pull or spray weeks that landscapers missed.
Repair pitching mound and batters box on the field and in bullpens and batting cages using packing clay and infield material.
Tennis
Maintenance and repair of nets and posts.
Help dry and squeegee courts to be used for practice and games after rain.
Move bleachers into place for spectator seating.
Cross Country
Course Maintenance
Filling in material into washed out areas.
Spreading new material to ensure course safety.
Cutting brush and trees back from the edges of the course.
Install, remove, and store orange snow fencing around the course.
Paint course outlines.
Adamson
Groom turf using gator and field grooming brush.
Move team bleachers into place for games and store during offseason.
Move steeplechase barriers into place for races ad store during offseason.
Maintain Steeplechase water hazard.
Maintain the long and triple jump sand pits.
Event Administrator
Assist in administration of all home Athletic Contests, High School Athletic Contests, and intramural games.
Duties include but are not limited to team bench set up, field preparation, greet visiting team and officials, provide water for officials, coordinate security, coordinate scoreboard operations, and direct student work force.
Primarily responsible for softball (field preparation and maintenance of the field pregame and during the game), soccer.
Camps/Intramurals/Clubs
-Soccer and football summer camps
Rugby field all year round
Intramural football field in the fall
Intramural softball field in the spring
Ultimate frisbee all year round
Football fields for band in the summer and fall including painting the parking lot.
Track throwing areas
Setup, tear down, and storage of scaffolding towers for band
Maintain, move, put together, and store soccer goals and nets.

| Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities |
Bachelor’s Degree
2-3 years experience of landscape, grounds, or game management.
Must have valid Driver’s License

| Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary |
Knowledge of Collegiate Athletic sports
Knowledge of Athletic Fields, ability to follow diagrams, map, manuals, etc.
Knowledge of commercial machinery

Able to work in a fast paced environment
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be comfortable with sports field equipment and lawn equipment
Must have ability to work independently or with a team

| Physical Demands |
This position will require physical work with your hands and being able to
sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. You will be exposed to inclement
weather while doing manual labor. You should be able to lift 100lbs with assistance.
