Up to $43,173 annually

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Previous special event coordination experience, preferably in an Athletics environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays along with the ability to participate in athletic activities and events as they relate to event coordination, fundraising and development.
- Experience in training and leading student and casual workers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including ability to interpret basic financial spreadsheets.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with NCAA, Conference and University rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.

- Two years of special event coordination experience in an athletics environment.
- Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures preferred.

| Position Purpose |
Oakland University Athletics is a Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence. Our Athletics Department is looking for a highly organized, driven and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Athletics Special Event Coordinator. Under the general direction of the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, the Athletics Special Events Coordinator provides support to the Athletic Department by coordinating Athletic Special Events and VIP/Donor Suites for Game Day Hospitality. This includes, but is not limited to, Hall of Honor, Black and Gold Awards, Golden Grizzlies Golf Classic, sport specific championships, VIP/Donor Suites for game-day hospitality for men’s and women’s basketball, oversee a staff of hosts and hostesses, assist in coordination of sport specific fundraising activities and events, and coordinate events with University Advancement.
