ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Choreograph dance routines that complement the band’s musical performances.
• Conduct regular rehearsals to ensure precise and synchronized performances.
• Inspire and motivate students, enhancing their dance skills and performance confidence.
• Collaborate closely with the band director to align choreography with musical themes and event types.
• Ensure safety and proper technique during all practices and performances.
• Organize and maintain costumes and any necessary dance equipment.
• Attend all scheduled performances and special events.
• Create an inclusive and positive environment that fosters team spirit and cooperation.
• Conduct training workshops, clinics, and facilitate annual auditions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dance instruction or choreography, preferably with a background in performance arts. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate students. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A background in working with college-aged students is preferred but not required.
