Position Description
Reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Video Operations, serves as Producer for ESPN / SEC Network broadcasts. Maintains professionalism and production values while executing athletic event productions for a variety of sports productions. Prepares control rooms and content for shows, serving in a variety of roles during live productions depending on the specific needs of each event. Train staff, freelancers and students on control room systems.
Bachelor’s Degree + 2 year experience working in broadcast or digital media productions / Technical degree can be substituted and considered as equivalency.
Working knowledge of Grass Valley Switchers, Ross Xpression, Evertz Dreamcatcher systems, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite software. Must understand the importance of accuracy of on-air content while working with staff, students and freelancers to create professional productions.Knowledge of video production equipment associated with live production is required. Strong leadership skills and exceptional communication are essential. Must have team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality.

Reports to the Assoc AD / Video Operations, prepares control room systems for digital and linear network coverage of South Carolina athletics. Works w/ ESPN/ SEC Network points of contact to update and implement graphics / animation packages, sponsorship requirements and promotional elements. Ingests, builds and quality checks elements for shows utilizing Ross Xpression and Evertz DreamCatcher. Builds and updates Grass Valley Switcher setups for all network productions.

Provide maintenance, development and training for staff, freelancers and students (between 35-40 freelancers, 25-30 students) on control room systems to include but not limited to broadcast production switchers, replay and playout servers, graphics systems and control interfaces. Design, implement and maintain effective and efficient workflow of all control room equipment for use on in-venue productions as well as network broadcasts.Assist in the training of the production crew, including 20-30 student workers during and outside of productions.
