Position Summary Information
| Primary Purpose |
The Broadcaster provides coverage of the sporting events held at University of the Pacific in an enthusiastic and engaging manner during the entire event.

| Essential Functions |
- Share commentary, game analysis, and personal experiences with spectators and listeners during sporting events.
- Provide dynamic in-game activity engagement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High School Diploma or GED.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, broadcasting or related field.
- Knowledgeable in sport terminology.
- Knowledge of various streaming platforms and equipment needed to broadcast the stream.
- Strong communication and speaking skills.
- Experience with calling sport activity play-by-play.
- Experience as a color commentator.
- Experience with broadcasting Division I sporting events and/or broadcasting at the professional level.
- Ability to work in coordination with other game operation staff.
- Ability to improvise.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

| Hiring Range | $16.00 - $20.00 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
