Responsible for assisting with the Athletic Department’s overall day-to-day business operations, including but not limited to purchasing, pcard reconciliation, game-day business-related items, concessions reconciliation, post-season events (NCAA portal for expense submissions, merchandise, etc.), season ticket sales, purchase orders, payment requests, deposits, Knight Nation reporting, etc. Communicating international s-a tax information, outstanding bills, travel arrangements, etc. An understanding and commitment to compliance with the NCAA, PSAC, and University rules and regulations. Assists and advises the Director of Athletics. Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Assists with preparing financial reports for the department, NCAA, and PSAC as required including the Higher Education Equity in Athletics report, NCAA Gender Equity report, and the PSAC Financial Summary.2. Assists with monitoring athletic budgets.3. Processes cash advances and reconciles all expenses against appropriate receipts.4. Game-day business operations, such as ticketing and program sales for home football and basketball games. Balances and reconciles all cash receipts for home events.5. Writes requisitions for purchase orders.6. Develops reports for Knight Nation, and handles all business-related operations.7. Administers the sale and distribution of game and season tickets, merchandise, etc. for basketball, football, and other athletic events, including the postseason.8. Accepts and reconciles all cash deposits.9. Process all payment requests.10. Assists with purchasing and reconciliation of purchasing card expenses for the department.11. Performs other duties related as assigned within the scope and responsibility and requirements of the job.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the ticketing staff and relevant concession stand workers and game-day student workers
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.Experience: 5 years of experience in a professional, high-paced business environment, preferably in college athletics.Skills: Critical thinking, strong organizational and communication skills, experience managing projects to meet deadlines successfully, time management, efficiency, and general business knowledge. Extensive experience with Microsoft applications.University Mission: Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.
Master’s degree.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy office and University environment. Work is performed in a busy office and University setting. Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
