Facilities Management is a Productive, Responsive, Innovative, Dedicated, Enthusiastic organization. Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in transporting students to and from various places, such as the Main and Avon Williams Campuses, on and off Campus Apartments as well athletic events or field trips; performing normal routine maintenance: and performing related work as required.*This position has a Late Shift 1:30 pm – 10:30 pm ONLY*Duties and Responsibilities:1. Drives bus to and from athletic events, field trips, other off-campus college facilities, etc.2. Picking up and delivering students and other college related people3. Make simple repairs and reports other repairs necessary for the proper operation of the vehicle4. Performs routine repetitive maintenance such as wash exterior, clean interior, and check tires5. Drives bus to and fill bus with gasoline6. Keep records and make reports7. Performs other work as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities 1.Knowledge of practices used in the operation of a bus2.Knowledge of state and local traffic regulations3.Knowledge of care and use of motor vehicles and equipment4. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions5.Able to operate a bus efficiently and safely6.Able to carry out simple instructions7. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public and other employees
High school graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of practices used in the operation of a bus or van. Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license to operate a fifteen-passenger shuttle van. Must possess a valid Tennessee CDL, class B or C driver license to operate the Motorcoach or twenty-six passenger shuttle buses. Must be familiar with state and local traffic laws and have excellent driving experience on both short and long distance trips. Must have the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, employees, and the general public. Minimum of (3) years of experience in the operation of above mentioned equipment (ref., description, duties, and responsibilities).
