POSITION: Full Time Charter Bus Driver

HOURS/STATUS: Full Time Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director

LOCATION: Albany, New York Market

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive College Owned or Rented vehicles on short and/or long trips safely negotiating various routes through varied terrain and geographic areas.
• Transport students, coaches and staff from one place to another using Bryant & Stratton College owned or rented vehicles.
• Set Transportation Schedule with the Athletic Director for games and practices
• Set Transportation Schedule with the Dean of Instruction for Dorm runs
• Work with Athletic Director to schedule all Part Time Drives for overflow
• Safe and Competent Operation of Bus.
• Drive mini bus on regular routes between campus, student housing & practice facility on a schedule
• Assist students and coaches with sports gear and/or luggage.
• Report accidents or other traffic disruptions to Athletic Director, Campus Director and Business Office Director within 1 hour of incident.

• Review route assignments and schedules with Coaches & administration, and ensure all
  information is fully understood before departing.

• Check the bus tires, lights, and promptly report maintenance issues to Athletic Director.

• Schedule all repairs, maintenances, inspections and any other required upkeep.

• Clean bus, inside and outside.

• Responsible for keeping bus fuel level above ½ tank at all times.

• Strict adherence to all state and federal transit regulations. ·

• Account for all coaches/players & staff before leaving a location.

• Perform duties in a manner that align with the College’s vision, standards and ethics.

• During non-driving time, associate will work with Athletic Director and Building & Grounds Manager to fill 40 hour work week

COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Degree
• Ability to move and lift 25 + pounds
• Minimum 2 years' CDL Passenger driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass criminal and DMV check upon hire
• Pass Random Drug Testing
• Strong verbal communications skills
• Customer service oriented and professional
• Flexible schedule
• Solid driving knowledge of New York State and surrounding states is a plus
• Must possess a valid CDL with a B and C or A and P (Passenger) license.
• Ability to work with all levels of associates and student

NON-EXEMPT POSITION and is eligible for overtime.

SALARY:

$40,000 - $44,000 ($19.23 - $21.15 per hour)

The selected candidate’s actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
