Job Summary

Under the direction of the Athletic Director and the BYU Football Chief of Staff, the General Manager will specialize in revenue share distribution and roster optimization and capitalize on strategic partnerships, including Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Duties/Expectations :  

• Work within the annual revenue-share budget and assist in creating a distribution plan
• Serve as primary creator and communicator of annual revenue share contracts with current football players
• Serve as the primary communicator with current football players on NIL opportunities and strategies 
• Work with the coaching staff to understand position needs and develop a plan to fill with the best available talent, including developing a recruiting plan for revenue share and NIL discussions with potential student-athletes
• Collaborate closely and regularly with BYU Athletics¿ Corporate Sponsorship Team and Cougar Club on possible NIL opportunities
• Comply with NCAA and university rules and regulations

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Required :

• Bachelor's degree (Must have required degree by start date)
• Knowledge and understanding of Division I football and NCAA rules and regulations
• Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code
• All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.

Preferred : 

• Division I athletics playing, coaching, or administrative experience
• Law degree and/or 3+ years contract negotiation/management professional work experience (strongly preferred)
