Essential Functions:
Assist with operation of sports medicine facilities.
Provide daily treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes, with a focus on Women's Basketball
Coordinate educational programming and drug testing programs.
Prepare and maintain various records, reports and information on injuries, treatments, etc. for insurance, legal and/or professional purposes.
Attend scheduled team practices and competitions, including home and away events.

A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

•  BOC Certification, along with eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Missouri are required
•  Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, BLS Provider, or equivalent is required
•  Master’s degree in athletic training or related field.Â
•  Experience working with collegiate or elite-level basketball athletes.Â
•  Knowledgeable about evidence-based best practice guidelines as well as current trends in sports medicine.
•  Certification or experience with manual therapy techniques.Â
•  Experience as a preceptor for a CAATE-Accredited Athletic Training Program.
•  Demonstrated leadership experience.
•  Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and sports medicine standards of care, ability to apply NATA/BOC code of ethics to care, excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, and a strong commitment to professional growth, demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment, and experience working in a comprehensive sports medicine environment.
•  Preference will be given to candidates that meet the progressive needs of the Kansas City Sports Medicine Team.Â
