The Cheer Program Assistant will assist the head coach in all coaching functions related to the Notre Dame Cheerleading program. Must be knowledgeable of cheerleading rules, practice, game day preparation and management, organization of team travel, and community involvement. Assist in training up to 40+ cheerleaders in all aspects of spirit engagement, stunting, tumbling, and dance. Oversee cheer squads at practice and at various athletic events.

Associate’s Degree required and at least 1 year of related experience
Must be extremely organized, professional and have a passion for cheerleading
Must be available to assist on gamedays and attend practice as needed
Will represent the University of Notre Dame and communicate effectively in individual and group settings
Must be able to work and cooperate with other coaches, faculty, and staff in all departments
Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends

Approximately 10-20 hours per week, some nights and weekends. Hours are as needed and based on operational needs of the program.
