The University of Cincinnati, Department of Athletics is seeking candidates for a Communications and Strategic Brand Engagement professional (Assistant Sports Information Officer). This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.
The Communications and Strategic Brand Engagement position will provide information to external and internal public via news and other media to positively influence the perceptions and narratives of the sports assigned to them in support of advancing the goals and objectives of the department and athletic programs while following University of Cincinnati and department policies, NCAA Division I, and Conference bylaws and regulations.

The range of responsibilities include: customer service, writing, editing, graphic design, video, photography, social media, archiving, event management, proactive media pitching and the facilitation of interview requests.
The position will be housed in the Agency and may be appointed at the Assistant Director, Associate Director or Director level depending on the candidate’s experience and skills.
One (1) year of experience in public relations or publications or related field.
