Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following examples are intended as illustrations only of the various types of duties assigned in positions allocated to this classification. The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.

1. Perform daily rounds inside and outside athletic facilities to check for maintenance, issues, cleanliness, and building systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, lighting, door functionality, etc.
   
2. Identify and report maintenance and custodial issues to Assistant Athletic Director for Facility Enhancements or appropriate contractor.
   
3. Respond to and assist with requests for minor facility maintenance and improvements.
   
4. Assist with oversight and coordination of regular building safety inspections and system recertifications.
   
5. Provide facility support for athletic events including on-site response and coordination with event management and campus resources.
   
6. Knowledge of power tool and equipment operation (carts, RTVs, lifts, etc.).
   
7. Perform related duties as assigned.
   

This position will assist in supervising student support staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of science degree in related field with one (1) year of full-time experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment, occupational hazards, and
safety precautions of the trade.
Knowledge of applicable building codes, rules and regulations.
Ability to work long and irregular hours.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
Valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. with one to the point of being objectionable. Injuries may require professional treatment.

Job frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping/kneeling/ crouching/ crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Job occasionally requires climbing or balancing and lifting more than 100 pounds.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
