POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the operational management of Le Moyne College’s comprehensive, high quality athletic program sponsoring 21 NCAA Division I teams/programs. This position assists the Associate Athletic Director in coordinating the internal operations for intercollegiate athletics, ensuring efficient and effective functioning across, facilities, events, inventory, equipment, laundry management, game operations and provides a developmental, safe and supportive environment for all student, coaches and staff in the day to day operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
Supervision: Assist in the supervision of 40-50 student employees including administrative assistants, facility managers, equipment managers, laundry workers, game/event staff, concessions, tickets, promotions, and security.
Game/Event Operations: Assist in the planning, organize, and execute all game/events operations including, but not limited to, all indoor, outdoor, and off campus contests, practices, camps, clinics, and athletics fundraising events. Oversee the distribution and execution of all game contracts and agreements. Serve as a contact for all visiting teams, game officials, and conference personnel. Work with game officials and their respective assigning services. Assist in the execution of the emergency action plan in the event of a non-medical emergency. Work with dining (concessions), campus security, and custodial services.
Facilities Management : Assist in the maintenance, scheduling, and use of the athletics facilities including all outdoor and indoor game and practice facilities. Coordinate work orders and scheduling with physical plant/facilities, grounds, custodial services, campus safety, and other campus departments hosting events in the facilities (e.g. Orientation, Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, Founders Day, Graduate Student Commencement, Community Rentals).
Equipment and Uniform Management: Assist in the acquisition, tracking, conditioning, repair, maintenance, inventory and distribution process of all athletic equipment and uniforms.
Laundry Management: Manage and ensure timely laundry operations for practice gear, laundry loops, towels (over 400), and uniforms for 21 Varsity Athletic Teams, 350 student athletes, and sports medicine, seven (7) days per week. Oversee proper maintenance of equipment; inspect all uniforms and practice gear ensuring that they meet optimum hygiene and performance standards. Properly install conference (NEC) and association (NCAA) patches/logos on all uniforms.
Department Liaison : Assist the department’s liaison with Campus Security and Law Enforcement, Dining Services, Grounds, Custodial Services, Facilities, Student Development, Alumni Affairs, Event Management Team, and Advancement

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience required.
Interest in athletics and sports management
Willing to work evening and weekend hours
Demonstrated managerial skills and ability to work with others.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
