LOCATION: Grand Rapids, MI; Hansen Athletic Center
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all Internal Operations for Athletic Department as it pertains to Cornerstone, WHAC and NAIA Guidelines
Maintain internal logistical functions of the athletic department and assist the Director of Athletics with internal operations as needed.
Maintain and track office records, expenditures, budgets and calendars, collection and compilation of data, preparation of correspondence and other materials, supply ordering and inventory, as well as the processing of requisitions, invoices and other requests.
Field initial questions, emails, and phone calls for the department.
Coordinate and Execute the EADA Report and ROA Report per NAIA guidelines
Assist with annual Holiday Tournament as needed by Director of Athletics
Serve on the Athletics Leadership Team and work assigned contests for game administration when needed
Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) for International Student Athletes
Acts as the main point of contact for student athletes on-campus F-1 students, providing guidance and assistance regarding federal regulations in accordance with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Information and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
Plans and hosts meetings and workshops for F-1 students related to topics such as Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), annual vacations, etc.
Helps maintain university policies and university website pages related to F-1 students
Regularly responds to student athlete inquiries sent to the immigration services email inbox
Participates in regular SEVIS trainings, led by the Primary School Official (PDSO) and completes requested projects and tasks delegated by that individual and/or SEVIS
Serves as liaison between admissions, PDSO and coaching staff for recruitment support of international student athletes
SALARY RANGE: $17.50 TO $19.00/hour, commensurate with skills, experience, and education of the candidate selected.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Associates degree or equivalent office experience preferably in higher education
Experience and familiarity with Business desirable
Experience in bookkeeping and budgeting
Computer skills including Microsoft Office 365, Windows, G Suite, and a high level of technological aptitude
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines
