Responsible for coordinating efforts and providing operational support to increase the Athletic Departments’ revenue primarily through, but not limited to, sponsorship sales with local and regional business partners by growing existing relationships and acquiring new partnerships. Responsible for image enhancement of Department of Intercollegiate Athletics across Rio Grande Valley market by leveraging athletic events and growing relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
General supervision from the assigned supervisor.
Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (comparable required experience may be accepted in lieu of education on a 1 on 1 basis).

One (1) year of sales and/or broadcasting/media experience in a related field and/or professional experience in the sports industry.
Use of standard office equipment.
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Frequent travel, nights, weekends and holiday work is required. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is performed primarily in a general office environment. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which may require presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
