The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking an applicant for Corps of Cadets Program Director for Strength and Conditioning. Under the limited supervision of the Assistant Commandant for Operations and Training; the Program Director will be responsible for the following:

• Establish Physical Readiness Training and Certification processes and procedures that ensure that the Cadets assigned to administer the Physical Readiness Program are trained & supervised in the execution of their duties.
• Plans, Executes, and records data for the Semi-annual Physical fitness test and Corps Height and Weight screening. Collects, Records, Maintains, and Provides statistical data analysis to the Commandant and TAC Officers using the Physical Readiness Data Base.

• Researches, develops, designs, recommends and establishes processes and procedures for the administration and effective management of the Corps Physical Readiness Program.
• Collaborate with Corps of Cadets leadership and sport medicine staff to tailor training programs, provide and present performance progress.
• Assist the Assistant Commandant for Operations with planning and administrative duties to develop/publish training plans, training schedules, classroom/space assignments and other duties as directed by the Assistant Commandant.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree required in exercise-related field. At least three (3) years professional strength and conditioning coach experience. Must possess current strength and conditioning specific certifications (CSCS, SCCC and/or PES). Must be highly skilled in data base management and computer operations. Must be able to operate independently and work well in advance of future requirements through detailed planning and cross campus coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in exercise related field preferred. Experience in tactical strength and conditioning preferred.
