Requirements

The Creative Content Assistant is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the Department of Athletics storytelling strategy through digital media. Creation and ideation of all digital content and strategy will be the primary responsibility for this role, leading department efforts to produce high quality digital content that will be distributed through all of Georgetown’s digital channels. Their focus is on content creation and strategy for social media main accounts, all

advertising assets (digital and traditional), and video capturing at athletic events. Under the direction of the Athletics Communications office, additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage a team of students for social, video, and graphics.

  • Develop and produce creative video content for the Georgetown Athletics brand.

  • Create and execute social media calendars with a focus on brand enhancement and revenue streams.

  • Create brand guidelines and best practices in conjunction with Communications and coaching staff for sport accounts.

  • Manage and develop strategies for media days for all sports, constantly researching best practices to ensure content strategy is in-line with audience trends.

  • Capture video footage at select Georgetown Hoyas home games and events, traveling with athletic teams to away games or special activities as necessary.

  • Work daily with the Marketing office as they will coordinate responsibilities in this area.
