Albright College is seeking applications for Defensive Coordinator. This full-time Assistant Football Coach will serve as the Defensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Liaison to Head Athletic Trainer, Liaison the Strength and Conditioning Coach and Positional Coach as assigned. The coach will also assist the Head Football Coach with day to day operations of the program; on field coaching responsibilities; off campus and on campus recruiting; use of Front Rush; film breakdown and scouting report preparation; skill development of players; academic development of players through use of the academic game plan & Lion’s Edge; assist with football camp operations, football golf outing, football fundraising, and other duties as assigned by head coach. Defensive Coordinator must demonstrate a commitment to enhancing equity and inclusion within the team and across a culturally diverse campus while celebrating people of all statuses and identities. This commitment must shine through all job functions including but not limited to, campus wide projects and teamwork, explanation of financial reports, and daily interactions with colleagues and students.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assist head coach with day to day football operations and on-field coaching.
2. Coordinate all aspects of the defense
3. Recruiting Coordinator
4. Liaison to Head Athletic Trainer
5. Liaison to Head Strength & Conditioning Coach
6. Coach assigned positional players on and off the field.
7. Recruit prospective student athletes on & off campus. Evaluate & qualify all recruits in assigned areas.
8. Organize recruiting communications and campus visits.
9. Set up and monitor student athlete academic sessions.
10. Upload game film, breakdown game film and prepare scouting reports (both video and text).
11. Assist with program fundraising.
12. Assist with planning and implementation of summer football camps & golf outing.
13. Assist with team social media pages.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

1. COMMUNICATION:

   1. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
   2. Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to maintain team pages.

2. SKILLS:

   1. Playing and/or coaching football necessary.

3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:

   1. Coaching experience at high school or college level.
   2. Demonstrated commitment to building an inclusive and equitable Albright community, as described in Albright College’s Inclusivity and Equity Statement.

4. EDUCATION:

   1. College degree or equivalent required.

5. LICENSES:

   1. Drivers license required.
