The mission of the Athletic Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is to operate within the perspective of the overall educational programs. With a balanced program that supports equitable opportunities for all students and staff, the department promotes a total person concept that provides its student-athletes with the necessary tools to be successful in academic, athletic and social settings. The Department of Athletics supports the highest ethical standards of the University, the NCAA, and Conference Affiliation.
The Deputy Athletics Director / Chief Revenue Officer serves as a senior executive on the Athletics Director’s leadership cabinet, with primary responsibility for driving comprehensive revenue generation, brand elevation, and fan experience innovation across all external affairs units. This role requires a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial leader who can translate bold ideas into measurable results—seamlessly blending creative strategy with disciplined commercial execution to grow a dynamic and sustainable athletics enterprise.
The Chief Revenue Officer will cultivate and lead strategic partnerships with the City of Charlotte, corporate stakeholders, and the broader community to position the 49ers as a premier destination for sports, entertainment, and civic engagement. Through collaboration, innovation, and data-informed decision-making, this leader will enhance the department’s visibility, expand its revenue portfolio, and elevate the overall brand experience.
