The incumbent will collaborate with the Executive Director of Athletics to define, refine, and execute his/her strategic vision for the department. This role will provide global leadership for all units of the department, as well as provide strategic counsel to the Executive Director of Athletics and Senior Staff on all matters pertaining to the overall operations of the department. The incumbent will manage multiple ongoing projects independently and in consultation with campus constituents and various stakeholders. This position will also provide leadership as a Sport Administrator, working collaboratively to support the student-athlete experience, optimize resources, and provide institutional context and framework for the overall operations of each assigned sport. The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating regular operational audits of all areas, providing recommendations for strategic shifts in resource management and operations.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of seven years sitting on an Athletics Executive Leadership Team.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience in NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics.
• A minimum of three years of experience in strategic and operational planning.
• Proven ability to lead and manage people and projects.
• Prior NCAA Division I collegiate or professional athletics preferred.
•Valid CA driver’s license required.
Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

CSU MPP Compensation Summary Range: The MPP Comp Summary Range for this position is $11,597 - $17,396 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
This is a management level position with an attractive benefits package, which includes a vacation accrual rate of 16 hours per month, and excellent choice of medical, dental, and vision insurance, long term disability coverage, life insurance, educational fee waiver, and retirement benefits.
