DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - ATHLETICS ADVANCEMENT

Reporting to the Director of Development, Athletics Advancement, the Development Officer will manage a portfolio of major gift donors ($25,000+) to raise funds for the strategic priorities of the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department, as well as seat-related contributions for OU Athletics events. This professional will be responsible for the effective solicitation and procurement of philanthropic gifts, including but not limited to facility, program, planned, scholarship and premium seating commitments. The Development Officer continually seeks private fundraising opportunities to benefit OU Athletics and works closely with other members of the Athletics Advancement team, fellow OU Foundation colleagues and athletic department leadership to implement the fundraising strategy to meet fundraising goals. Position requires up to 25% travel and occasional evening and weekend work. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and one or more years of experience in fundraising, sales, nonprofit, higher education and/or communications required.
