Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head Football Coach, theOffensive Analyst plays a pivotal role within the coaching staff of an FBS college football program. The Offensive Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing opponents' defensive strategies and tendencies to provide insights and recommendations to the coaching staff.

This role is crucial in developing effective offensive game plans and strategies to optimize team performance on the field. The incumbent will assist in managing all matters related to the Football program. Main responsibilities include the following:

• Maintain and update the football computer database.
• Provide statistical analyses related to opponent preparation; coordinate video cutups and distribution of preliminary offensive, defensive, and special teams scouting reports.
• Coordinate self-scouting offensive, defensive, and special teams’ schemes.
• Assist with cutups and distribution of prospective student-athletes' films to the coaching staff.
• Support the planning and execution of game day clerical and statistical information; assist in coordinating team travel and home game operations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions of Position:

• Opponent Scouting: Utilize video analysis software and other resources to scout upcoming opponents' defensive schemes, formations, blitz packages, coverages, and individual player tendencies.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze statistical data on opponents' defensive performance, including yards allowed per game, points allowed, turnovers forced, and third-down efficiency.
• Trend Identification: Identify recurring patterns and trends in opponents' defensive strategies, such as tendencies on specific downs and distances, red zone defense, and situational play calling.
• Game Planning: Collaborate with the offensive coaching staff to develop comprehensive game plans tailored to exploit weaknesses in the opposing defense while leveraging the strengths of the team's offensive personnel.
• Film Breakdown: Break down game films to create detailed scouting reports and highlight reels for team meetings and player preparation.
• Player Development: Help develop offensive players by providing insights into opponents' defensive techniques and tendencies, helping players recognize and exploit opportunities on the field.
• In-game support: Provide real-time analysis and feedback to coaches and players during games, identifying adjustments and opportunities based on observations of the opposing defense.
• Recruiting Support: Assist in the recruitment process by evaluating high school prospects and providing input on their offensive skill sets and potential fit within the team's system.
• Continued Learning: Stay abreast of new developments and trends in offensive and defensive strategies, attending clinics, workshops, and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills.

Required Education & Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree with two (2) or more years of related experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA and Conference Regulations.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree.
• Previous experience with a Division 1-A Football program preferred
