The Director of Football Operations plays a critical leadership role in the administration and day-to-day management of the University of New Hampshire Men’s Football program, competing in the Football East Conference. This position provides comprehensive operational oversight, ensures NCAA and conference compliance, and supports the Head Coach in delivering a high-functioning, student-athlete–centered Division I program.
Duties/Responsibilities
Program Administration & Compliance -40%
Direct and coordinate all administrative functions of the Men’s Football program, including scheduling, travel, budgeting, and logistics.
Maintain expert knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations; ensure full compliance and promptly report any potential violations to the Director of Athletics and/or Sport Administrator.
Manage the program operating budget, including rate negotiations, billing, invoicing, reconciliation, and travel reimbursements, in accordance with USNH policies.
Partner with the Head Coach in the annual budgeting process and review monthly expenditures for accuracy.
Coordinate and oversee summer school logistics, winter and spring break housing, meals, and per diem planning.
Serve as the primary liaison with equipment and apparel vendors (including Bauer and NIKE/BSN) and oversee equipment inventory and budget.

Game Day & Team Operations – 15%
Oversee all logistical aspects of home and away competitions, including travel itineraries, lodging, meals, practice schedules, rooming lists, and complimentary ticket distribution.
Travel with the team for all regular-season and postseason competitions.
Coordinate with visiting teams to ensure arrival logistics, locker room setup, and laundry needs.
Ensure NCAA compliance during practices and competitions.
Coordinate Senior Night and support donor and special-guest hosting in collaboration with Athletics Development.
Assist in hosting professional scouts and player development personnel during campus visits.
Facilities, Equipment & Technology – 10%
Oversee equipment budget and inventory in coordination with the Football Equipment Manager.
Manage daily video operations for practices and games, including staffing, setup, and compliance with Football East requirements.
Maintain and oversee football video platforms and technologies, including Catapult Thunder, Sport Logic, and Instat.
Coordinate facility maintenance and annual upgrades; serve as the program liaison for capital projects and renovations.
Marketing, External Relations & Fundraising – 10%
Serve as liaison to Athletics External Operations for marketing and promotional initiatives.
Assist with securing student-athletes for promotional activities and provide input on marketing materials.
Support fundraising initiatives in partnership with the Head Coach and Athletics Development, including the (603) Challenge, Mentor Night, and the UNH Men’s Football Golf Tournament.
Lead planning and execution of the annual Alumni Night in collaboration with Development and External Operations.
Assist with the organization and oversight of summer camps and showcases, including logistics, meals, equipment, and daily operations.
Recruiting & Admissions Support – 10%
Support the coaching staff with all aspects of recruiting, including official and unofficial visits.
Coordinate campus visits, manage communication with prospective student-athletes and families, and provide information on academic and athletic opportunities.
Assist committed and transfer student-athletes through the admissions process in coordination with UNH Admissions and Athletics Academic Support.
Work with the UNH Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) to ensure compliance with federal visa requirements.
Student-Athlete Support & Development – 10%
Coordinate incoming freshman and transfer student needs, including housing, onboarding, and academic compliance.
Collaborate with academic advisors and academic support staff to monitor degree progress and coordinate tutoring and internships.
Coordinate team meals and nutrition planning with athletic training and strength and conditioning staff.
Plan and execute the annual team awards banquet, including venue selection, program development, awards, and communications.
Personnel Management – 5%
Supervise the hiring, training, and management of student managers and support staff.
Provide leadership and oversight to ensure efficient, professional daily operations.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance standards.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and professional environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple high-level priorities and supervise students.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively as required.

Compensation Pay Range:
$45,000
