The Director of Marketing and Game Operations reports to the Deputy Athletic Director – External Relations and is responsible for the comprehensive marketing strategy of Bobcat Athletics, promoting its brand, teams and events through multiple marketing channels, and operating in-game operations.

Position Details
| General Statement |
The Director of Marketing and Game Operations is responsible for promoting Bobcat Athletics and generating revenue through marketing, corporate sponsorships, licensing, multi-media rights, ticket sales and social media. The position requires initiation and execution of targeted multi-platform marketing campaigns with a focus on optimizing communications with consumer audiences while acquiring/retaining consumers with a goal of increasing game day attendance.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
- Develop and implement a multi-year, multi-platform marketing strategy that encompasses the entire Athletic Department with the goal of increasing attendance using creative marketing techniques, events, advertising, design and communications.
- Partner with the Bobcat Ticket Office to integrate new marketing into existing tools and systems.
- Act as creator and executor of real-time brand content and communications targeted to customers and followers during all live events, which may be outside of normal business hours, including weekends.
- Work with Athletic Communications office to manage the strategy, creation and distribution of content for Bobcat Athletics social media accounts for all Athletics accounts.
- Track and analyze social/digital metrics to deliver reports that present content and performance, along with trends for the purpose optimization and goal setting.
- Oversee or supervise all aspects of promotional game management for all sports, including but not limited to management of public address and message board announcements, coordination of large scale video display, coordination of in-game music, rotating signage during events and management of on-court/field promotional activities.
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of promotional materials for all sports.
- Develop and implement a social media strategy that increases brand awareness, cross promotes ticket sales for all sports, increases fan participation that focuses on initiating and building relationships as well as influencing fan behavior.
- Act as the liaison between Athletics and the student body and student government, build relationships with department throughout campus to promote strategic partnerships.
- Act as liaison between Athletics Marketing and Bobcat Sports Properties. Integrate mutual objectives including but not limited to: theme nights, promotional activities, distribution of sponsored giveaways, social media, and in-game recognitions.
- Oversee game operations personnel and in-game promotional staff for all ticketed sports throughout regular- and post-season events.
- Supervise interns, hourly staff, and student workers.

| Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills |
1. Bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. Significant experience in digital and event marketing in collegiate athletics, professional sports or a related field with proven experience in achieving business-related goals.
3. Proven brand building skills, and creative thought process.
4. Experience with multi-channel marketing, including web, social, mobile and e-mail marketing campaigns.
5. Demonstrated proven knowledge of web analytics such as SEO, Google Analytics, AdWords.
6. Experience working with email marketing platforms and knowledge of tracking effective analytics.

1. Master’s degree in Sport Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
2. Examples of previous work in this area and successfully executed marketing campaigns.
3. Demonstrated progressive, results-oriented experience at a NCAA Division I (including FCS football) or professional sports level.
4. Knowledge of Big Sky Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
