Purpose of Position: The Director of Administration & Assistant to Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics provides direct support to the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, assists in Braves Scholarship Society stewardship, and coordinates several administrative functions in the athletics department. This position requires organization, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple projects at one time, and strong verbal and written communication skills. It is imperative that this position plays a vital role in promoting the image of Bradley Athletics both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications include three to five years’ experience as an administrative assistant, preferably at the executive level, and knowledge of standard business principles. A bachelor’s degree is desirable, but not required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in higher education, athletics, and/or performing executive level support duties. The successful candidate will be detailed oriented with strong analytical skills, possess a positive customer service attitude with respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to meet multiple deadlines without direct supervision, and the ability to work in sensitive areas with confidential information. A high level of proficiency with computer applications and general office software is necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience.
