DIRECTOR OF ATHLETIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Administrative management position, responsible for leading the Athletic Department and designing and implementing a strategic plan to promote sports and exercise within the University's holistic educational project. The Director promotes a culture centered on student service, aligned with the university's mission.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
A Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a field related to the position's responsibilities. Both degrees must be from an accredited university. The following credentials will be preferred:
Current certifications in CPR and Lifeguard, or the ability to obtain them within the first six months of employment.
Current DRDS license as a sports coach or sports official.
Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive leadership, administrative, and supervisory experience in athletic programs, preferably in university or educational settings.
Experience in the recruitment, mentorship, and holistic development of student-athletes, as well as in the supervision, evaluation, and management of professional, technical, and administrative staff.
Minimum of three (3) years as a coach or sports leader of competitive teams, including a proven track record of achievement, programmatic development, or awards earned under their direction.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in administrative processes, operational management, and compliance related to athletic programs, including event coordination, sports facilities management, regulations, and budget management.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience related to the Interuniversity Athletic League (LAI), federations, and sports clubs.
