Position Summary: The Director of Athletic Bands is responsible for creating and maintaining a thriving athletic band program with a positive culture for current and prospective students. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the athletic band program, including (but not limited to) promotion, recruitment, organization, and instruction. The Director must contribute to and promote a positive learning and social environment for current and prospective Limestone students. This position will report to the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Supervisory Responsibilities: TBD
Competencies/Qualifications: Instrumental Music and band performance knowledge and skills commensurate with a bachelor’s’ degree in Music Education or Instrumental Conducting; familiarity with local school systems, music programs, and directors/teachers preferred.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in music field (preferably Music Education) or equivalent experience; Master’s degree in music field not required but preferred; At least 3 years of collegiate or high school teaching experience preferred.
