Job Description
The Director of Athletic Equipment Operations orders, maintains and records all athletic equipment for all NCAA sports teams at Idaho State University. The director also maintains the athletic equipment budget, student and staff wage, and distributes equipment within university and NCAA guidelines. The director works hand in hand with head coaches and administrators to make sure all student athletes receive the proper equipment for practices and athletic competition. The director also maintains a clean and secure equipment room for equipment storage and proper distribution to student-athletes.

● Responsible for football practice management as directed by the Director of Football Operations.
● Required to travel with football to all away competitions to manage athletics gear and the communications system.
● Present at all home football games to attend to equipment issues that arise during competitions.

Job Description
The Director of Athletic Equipment Operations orders, maintains and records all athletic equipment for all NCAA sports teams at Idaho State University. The director also maintains the athletic equipment budget, student and staff wage, and distributes equipment within university and NCAA guidelines. The director works hand in hand with head coaches and administrators to make sure all student athletes receive the proper equipment for practices and athletic competition. The director also maintains a clean and secure equipment room for equipment storage and proper distribution to student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities
● Responsible for football practice management as directed by the Director of Football Operations.
● Required to travel with football to all away competitions to manage athletics gear and the communications system.
● Present at all home football games to attend to equipment issues that arise during competitions.
● Order necessary equipment for student athletes for the classroom, practice and athletic competition.
● Allow in-season sports daily opportunity to turn in loops/clothing for proper washing and drying from the equipment staff.
● Distribute equipment to student-athletes in an organized and effective manner.
● Coordinate with the coaches of all 15 DI teams and staff to develop, execute and supervise effective distribution, ordering and storage of their teams athletic equipment.
● Work within the guidelines of a given budget for equipment operations and staffing for athletic equipment.
● Work within the guidelines provided by Idaho State University, the AEMA and the NCAA for all rules and regulations for athletic equipment fitting, and compliance.
● Maintain an organized, clean and secure equipment room throughout the year.
● Coordinate all branded equipment and apparel marks with University Marketing to ensure all items distributed or posted are in alignment with University brand standards.
● Schedule and execute equipment ordering and printing in an organized and timely manner to ensure distribution on report day.
● Properly oversee and execute preparation of apparel for timely printing and delivery.
● Perform game operations related to equipment distribution, set up, take down and transportation as needed for all sports.
● Identify, hire, train and manage a team of student workers/interns on an annual basis to include daily work assignments and approval of hours.
● Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree.
● Three years equipment experience at a competitive level which includes experience in football equipment management.
● Demonstrated understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
● Two years equipment experience at the NCAA Division 1 level.
● AEMA Certified or safety certified in fitting football equipment.
● Experience ordering from B2B Adidas.
● Experience with Front Rush inventory management system FR TRAC.
Additional Information

Salary will be between $52,000 and $56,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
