SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Deputy Director of Athletics, the Director of Athletic Operations position will, through a courteous, helpful, unbiased, and professional manner, serve as a member of the athletics administration. This person's primary function of this job is to ensure that athletic operations adhere to the policies and procedures established by the Converse University, NCAA & Conference Carolinas, as well as act as a liaison between the NCAA & Conference Carolinas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Game Operations - 40%
Coordinate game day administration for all home athletic events;
Serve as the athletic administration for home athletic events;
Coordinate all tickets for all gated athletic home games;
Coordinate with Director of Communication on outside hires for all home athletic events;
Oversee interns and work-study positions for home athletic events;
Coordinate students in the area of Athletic Administration and event management in conjunction with Sports Management program;
Assist with implementing game contracts to ensure contract requirements are met.
Leadership - 25%
Serve as a member of our department directors' team;
Serve as an Administrator Representative at Conference Playoffs and Championships;
Assist with hosting special events on campus;
Oversee interns and work-study positions for the Athletic Department;
Serve as the co-advisor for the student-athlete advisory committee.
Facilities - 10%
Assist with reporting needs and maintenance of facilities and equipment to Deputy Director of Athletics;
Assist with coordination of facility projects as assigned.
Fundraising - 5%
Assist with fundraising activities within the athletic department.
Camps - 5%
Coordinate and manage all summer camps in conjunction with all head coaches and administration;
Coordinate athletic facilities space with the Deputy Director of Athletics and Converse Director of Events
Coordinate and Manage athletic facilities rentals with the Deputy Director of Athletics.
Committee Work - 5%
Represent the university on an institutional, conference and national level, when applicable;
Serve on conference committees as assigned by the Director and/or Deputy Director of Athletics
Serve on campus committees as assigned by the Director of Athletics and/or Deputy Director of Athletics;
Serve on external committees in the community, when applicable
Uphold all Conference Carolinas and NCAA Rules in framework of good ethical conduct.
Transportation - 5%
Assist with transportation for athletic department (team and coaches recruiting travel);
Additional - 5%
Promote the Athletic Department in a professional manner at all times while promoting a positive and productive working relationship with other staff members;
Assist with hosting special events on campus;
Perform other duties, not specifically stated herein, deemed essential to the operations of the department as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Deputy Director of Athletics.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required;
1 years of intercollegiate athletic administration experience;
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations;
Commitment to liberal arts education;
Compliance with the University's Service Expectations.
Preferred Qualifications** :**
Master's Degree;
2 - 4 years of intercollegiate athletic administration experience;
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations;

GUIDELINES AND SUPERVISION: This position is a member of the Athletic Department and reports to the Deputy Director of Athletics. This is a twelve-month position.
Work Schedule: Sunday through Saturday - hours vary; includes "after-hours" work throughout the year
Licenses: Valid SC Driver's License
