The Director of Athletics Marketing and Fan Engagement is responsible for developing and implementing an aggressive marketing, advertising, and promotion plan with a focus on increasing revenue, fan attendance, in-game and pre-game experiences. Additional focus is increasing brand exposure through print and electronic media, advertising, web content, community partners, and social media platforms. Note that sport administration will be an important aspect of this position. The Director of Athletics Marketing & Fan Engagement reports to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.

Job Duties

- Create and execute a marketing plan for each sport that increases visibility, brand awareness, attendance, and revenue for Cardinal Athletics.
- Create game scripts, manage on-field/court game promotions and music, and oversee public addresses.
- Supervise assigned staff, graduate assistants, and student workers.
- Work with various levels of personnel within the external relations unit, frequently collaborating with the sponsorships team to ensure corporate sponsorship benefit fulfillment, cooperating with Creative Content for advertising and graphic design assets, and working with Athletic Communications on social media and email marketing.
- Represent UIW Athletics at exhibits and local events and arrange for coaches and student-athletes to interact with the campus and community.
- Coordinate and supervise the distribution of promotional materials.
- Serve as the Sports Administrator in sports designated by the Athletic Director.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to identify and participate in the resolution of departmental/ institutional issues with continuous quality improvement as a goal.
- Ability to enhance external relations team effectiveness through dependability.
- Ability to consistently follow the Mission of the University.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

| Required Education |
Bachelor’s Degree.

| Required Work Experience |
Three (3) years of administrative-level experience in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics, to include at least one (1) year working in an athletics marketing/development and/or fan engagement role.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Three (3) years of experience in an external relations position within a Division I athletic department.
|
| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
|
| Work Hours |
Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility, as attendance and travel are necessary for events or functions. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

| Physical Demands |
- Ability to lift marketing materials weighing up to 25 pounds; ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve marketing materials.
- Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
- Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage fans and students, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
