The Athletics Department is seeking a Director of College Scouting. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to Go Build Excellent, Authentic, Visionary Student-Athletes (GO B.E.A.V.S.). The Director of College Scouting supports the Oregon State Football Program by leading the identification, evaluation, and strategic management of collegiate prospects, with primary emphasis on NCAA Transfer Portal scouting
Reporting to the Director of Player Personnel, this position is responsible for building and maintaining transfer recruiting boards, conducting comprehensive film evaluations, managing scouting data systems, and providing strategic recommendations regarding roster construction.
This role operates in a highly visible, fast-paced, and competitive environment requiring independent judgment, advanced analytical skills, and strict adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional policies

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
Will work nights and weekends.
May include travel.
