Position Information

The Director of Development (DoD) is responsible for providing support to the Senior Director of Development, Athletics, and working closely with the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics to enhance the philanthropic growth of UCR Athletics. The DoD will secure annual, major, principal, and in-kind donations that contribute to the improvement of individual athletic teams, student-athlete success, athletics facilities, and endowments. This includes identifying and managing approximately 150 prospects, as well as developing and implementing strategies for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. The DoD will engage in frequent local and statewide travel, with occasional out-of-state travel, to effectively execute these strategies. The DoD will arrange appropriate opportunities for key athletics staff and academic leadership to meet with prospective donors and will work collaboratively with other University Advancement colleagues to achieve fundraising goals and foster a robust philanthropic pipeline for UCR Athletics.

Please note: This is a three-year, renewable contract position that includes the same employee benefits afforded career employees.

The full salary range for the Director of Development, Athletics is $96,700 - $184,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
