Expired Date: Jan 20, 2024To address the sophisticated needs and growth of our donor base, The Rams Club seeks to expand the breadth of its philanthropic donor engagement and experience activities through The Director of Donor Engagement and Experience (“DDEE”). Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Officer, the DDEE drives and supports programmatic planning and execution that achieves The Rams Club’s goals for engaging, cultivating and recognizing donors, promoting the reputation of The Rams Club and increasing overall philanthropic support of Carolina Athletics.
The DDEE plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of programs, meeting the highest industry standards, and delivering exceptional results to our donors. This role manages and contributes to programs that drive donor engagement and, ultimately, donor revenue.
The primary responsibility of this position focuses on effective management of donor engagement and experience programs including designing, planning, coordinating and logistics of programs. To that end, and in addition to other programs and priorities, this position will serve as program expert and liaison for three of The Rams Clubs signature brands: The Scholarship Endowment Trust, FORevHER Tar Heels, and Carolina Forever. The position will be responsible for managing all aspects of these and other current and developing engagement programs.
This position is an exempt, 40 hour per week position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
SIGNATURE PROGRAMS MANAGEMENT – 55%

Develops requirements and executes program plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
Collaborates and coordinates with events, stewardship, and communications team to execute and realize implantation of efforts related to signature programs.
Provides perspective, oversight and review the effectiveness of programs established to support The Rams Clubs signature brands and make suggestions for modifications and improvements to keep programs healthy and relevant to the mission of The Rams Club and Carolina Athletics.
Works closely with Rams Club and Carolina Athletics staff to ensure engagement from both staff and student-athletes.
Ensures successful execution and completion of all programs.
Serve as initial point of contact for signature programs.
ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS MANAGEMENT – 35%
Leading with a service mindset, the DDEE manages programmatic responsibility for team-based initiatives per requirements defined with internal clients including sport specific liaisons within the Rams Club and coaches and staff.
Collaborates with internal clients (e.g. various Rams Club staff, coaches, Carolina Athletics’ staff) to understand specific needs and requirements for programmatic support related to team-based initiatives such as, but not limited to, the Strategic Investment Fund, 22 Club, Big Hitters, Diamond Heels, various Bench Seat programs, WLAX Blue Team, etc.
Obtains quarterly requirements from the major and principal gifts teams and oversees customized programing around white glove engagement opportunities as identified, etc.
Collaborates and coordinates with events, stewardship, and communications team to execute and realize implantation of efforts related to ad hoc engagement programs.
OTHER DUTIES – 10%
Attend Foundation and team events as requested and any other events where representation of the Educational Foundation is needed.
Researches, understands, and implements new ideas and best practices around donor cultivation, engagement, and experience.
Takes on special projects and serves on task forces or committees as requested by management/leadership.
Other duties as assigned by the Senior Philanthropy Officer or the Executive Director.
