Job Description:
The Director of Football Operations reports to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for the organization of the day-to-day efficient operation of the Brown University Football program. Assists the Head Football Coach in all phases of planning, developing, and promoting a highly competitive Ivy League program. All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League, and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Business background and collegiate football experience preferred.
Excellent management and organizational skills and knowledge of computer software.
Strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes.
Established history of quality relationships with staff, coaches, student-athletes, and parents preferred.
Ability to adhere to all NCAA and institutional rules and regulations.
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to successfully interact with diverse individuals from both University and community related constituencies for maximizing University and departmental goals, objectives, relationships and representation.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
