Summary

Assist in the day-to-day operation and administration of the Michigan football program. Duties include but are not limited to liaison responsibilities internal to the football program; department calendar and schedule development; program phase planning; planning and execution of special events and projects; addressing player needs and issues; practice and game management; and away game team travel. Reporting directly to the Senior Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations, the employee will adhere to all NCAA rules and regulations

Responsibilities*

• Work cooperatively with the Michigan football coaching staff, support staff and athletic department for the development and welfare of the student-athletes involved with the football program
• Assist the Senior Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations with daily logistics and team travel
• Point of contact for player and staff families as it relates to team outings and events.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Football Administration in the successful onboarding process of student-athletes
• Responsible for the organization and execution of special events for the team and families

• Responsible for the organization and execution of special events for the team and families
• Assist the Michigan football recruiting staff with events including official and unofficial visit, as well as all other recruiting events as assigned
• Assist camp director with organization of all institutional summer football camps
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*

• Bachelor degree required
• Minimum of two years experience at the FBS collegiate level
• Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations as well as Big Ten bylaws
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have a service-oriented attitude
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and solutions focused approach to challenges and improvements
• Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgment in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures and to exercise discretion in confidential matters is essential.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, and google mail/calendar system
