Apply NowThe Director of Football Performance oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive strength and conditioning program for the football athletic team. The Director of Football Performance will be responsible for the teaching and counseling football student-athletes in physical strength and conditioning techniques. This position reports directly to the Associate AD of Student-Athlete Health & Performance.
Specific Qualifications:
Direct oversight of the strength & conditioning program for football
Work closely with all coaches to assess specific needs of the football program and construct lifting schedules to meet those needs
Properly teach and motivate the university football student-athletes in the most recent and up to date strength and conditioning techniques
Provide football athletes with guidance and proper training techniques for free weights and other strength training equipment
Understand and ensure compliance with all
NCAA
, conference and university policies regarding the use of performance enhancing drugs
Coordinate rehabilitation and injury prevention programming with sports medicine staff
Maintain up to date records on the strength program of football team and specific individual workouts of every student-athlete as assigned
Work closely with all aspects of the football program to monitor the progress of student athletes as it relates to strength & conditioning
Conduct training and performance evaluations for assistant coaches as assigned
Other duties as assigned by the Football Head Coach / Assoc. AD of Student-Athlete Health & Performance
Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; minimum one year of strength training experience; current certification from a nationally accredited strength & conditioning program; current
CPR
/
AED
certification (course cannot be completed solely online)
