The Director of Gameday Operations and Facilities will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations in the Gameday operation, including planning and facilitating home events, prepare visitor guides, game timelines, scripts, and other duties that may be called up to run an event. The role will also have oversight of day-to-day facility needs and repairs working closely with the NGU Campus Enhancement team. The role is vital in providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for both the student-athletes and fans.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations in gameday operations and facilities.
Enhance the gameday environment for our fans and student-athletes.
Lead and monitor student workers and work-study students for game operations.
Oversee the care taking of officials during their time on campus.
Communicate with visiting teams prior to their visit about needs and travel plans.
Welcome visiting teams upon arrival.
Lead the set up and tear down of facilities for games and events.
Create and maintain up to date game timelines and Public Address scripts.
Manage day-to-day facility repairs and needs.
Make sure all facilities are in working order and operational.
Communicate and assist with grounds about athletic playing and practice surface preparation.
Prepare facilities for camps and outside events.
Any other duties assigned by either the Athletic Director or the Assistant Athletic Director of External Operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to hear well enough to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and athletes.
Frequently convey detailed or important coaching instructions and ideas accurately, clearly, and quickly.
Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of force regularly.
The capability to demonstrate and instruct various cheerleading techniques, including stunting, motions, and dance.
Maintain the physical fitness and stamina required to participate in and oversee rigorous practice sessions and performances.
Capacity to lift, move, and support cheerleading equipment and team members during stunts and routines.
Strong visual and auditory abilities to quickly and accurately assess performances and provide feedback.
Willingness and ability to travel and endure long hours during games, practices, and events.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Director of Gameday is required to work according to athletic game schedules, meetings, and other duties that need to be carried out. This position does not operate on a traditional work schedule.
TRAVEL:
Travel is required for conference and other required meetings.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
This is a full time non-exempt position. The Director of Gameday Operations and Facilities will report directly to the AD for External Operations. As an employee of the North Greenville University Athletics Department, the individual will be actively involved in relationships within the campus, Upstate and Alumni community.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Three years minimum of gameday/competitive coaching or cheer experience.
