The Director of Hockey Operations at the University of New Hampshire plays a critical role in the administration and management of the men’s hockey program within the highly competitive Hockey East conference. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of
NCAA
regulations and conference policies.
Supports 4 coaches, 29 student-athletes, 8 staff members.
Season consists of 34 regular season games and additional pre- and post-season contests.
Bachelor's

Prior experience in collegiate or professional hockey.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Master’s degree and five year’s experience at the
NCAA
Division I level.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple high level tasks and responsibilities.
Prior experience managing full-time and student staff.

- Oversight of Equipment budget and inventory
- Oversight of daily video needs including personnel as well as gameday and practice setup.
- Supervise hiring and management of all student support staff and managers.
- Coordinate maintenance and annual upgrades for team facilities.
- Represent the program as a liaison for capital projects and renovations.
- Coordinate with marketing and promotions staff to increase visibility and support for the men’s hockey program.
- Help organize and oversee summer camps and showcases.
- Assist the Head Coach with all fundraising initiatives including but not limited to management of the (603) Challenge, Mentor Night and the UNH Men’s Hockey Golf Tournament. The UNH Men’s Hockey Golf Tournament responsibilities include securing a golf course, registration, marketing materials and sponsorship solicitation.
- Organization of annual “Alumni Night” inclusive of planning and coordinating with Athletics Development and External Operations.
- Responsible for coordination of all video requirements as set forth by Hockey East. This includes but is not limited to the day-to-day management and nightly maintenance and server space management of Catapult Thunder video software , Sport Logic, and Instat.
- Summer camp responsibilities include but are not limited to day camp meals, pool passes, camp equipment ordering (e.g., t-shirts), and working toward the continued success of the UNH Men’s Hockey camp.
