Position Summary

The director of operations, baseball is responsible for all program operations, managing travel for players and coaches/administrators/students, assists the Student Athlete Development staff in managing the student-athlete baseball life skills and players’ development, and coordinating special events for the program.They will also manage recruiting records in accordance with NCAA regulations for recruiting of student-athletes, manage booster functions for donors (including dinner meetings, fund raising events, etc.), and coordinate speaking engagements for head coach.The incumbent will serve as a representative of the University, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Rice community and with the public.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One year of experience in a college baseball program
  • Must be able to correspond professionally both in writing and orally
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as team schedule requires
  • Frequent travel during season
