JOB SUMMARY
The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time position of Director of Player Personnel (Specialist 1A).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all recruiting evaluations for the football staff; provide evaluation reports on top prospects; provide support for practice and game preparation, including attending meetings related to coaching activities which include game analysis and review of game film; assisting, as needed, with data collection including the tracking of team performance statistics during competitions and practice sessions; responsible for managing and monitoring the transfer portal; assist the General Manager with communication efforts with prospective student-athletes and their families; prepare film on prospective student-athletes and clip it to highlight abilities/skills that coaches will then use to make an evaluation; and other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and the General Manager for Football.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, communication, and public relations skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree; at least one year of experience working with a Division I football or NFL program; previous experience as an Assistant Director of Player Personnel; previous collegiate playing experience; proficiency in XOS software; and possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with that of the Division of Athletics and its football program.
